I began my journey with Parinama Yoga in 2010 and instantly fell in love with the practice, particularly during an intense Urdhva Dhanurasana on a chair. It was in that moment I realised yoga was my calling.
From then on, yoga became an integral part of my life. No matter the circumstances, I never missed a class. However, I didn’t start my yoga teacher training until my teacher, Rosanna, persistently encouraged me. Eventually, I began my training with Master Bruno Baleotti. For three years, regardless of the weather or the long commute, I was always the first to arrive at the studio.
When people ask me why I practice yoga, my answer is simple: I love it so much that it has become a necessity, almost an obsession. There’s something magical about the oral transmission of knowledge from master to student—it's an endless process. Yoga has taught me the importance of feeling good within myself and understanding that the only two things we all possess from birth are our body and soul. The experiences our souls live through our bodies are the only things we take with us when we pass on.
I consider yoga a powerful, free instrument of wellness, and my goal is to share this tool with others. I want to transmit the same electric wave of life that surged through my body that day, helping others benefit from this gift. Through yoga, one can learn resilience, patience, mindfulness, and the value of being present in the moment. Progress comes in small steps, and even when we reach our limits, there is always room to expand. This is my truth, and 14 years later, I’m still walking the path, continuously learning. Yoga is a journey that never ends—it's a constant transformation.
Parinama Yoga is a practice that involves the use of tools like chairs, ropes, and blocks. But the essence of this practice lies in working with a partner. You learn about your body, how to move it, and how to work with someone else’s body. You receive guidance when performing a pose and give guidance when it’s your turn to lead your partner.
In Italy, I was surrounded by nature, which made it easier to relax and maintain a harmonious lifestyle. When I moved to England, I noticed a different pace of life—fast-paced and full of energy, but also more demanding. The increased pace and the pressures of modern life can make it challenging to find moments of calm and balance. This is why I’m passionate about teaching yoga as a tool for joy and mindfulness, helping people reconnect with themselves and their surroundings in the midst of a busy world.
Yoga helps you become more mindful and present, allowing you to observe yourself and hopefully align your mind, body, emotions, and actions.
I have been teaching Parinama Yoga to adults, a style created by my yoga master, Bruno Baleotti. After moving to England, I specialized in pre- and post-natal yoga and baby yoga with Sally Parkes. I have worked with women suffering from PCOS, adenomyosis, and scoliosis.
Teaching children is fun, but teaching adults is a discovery of the body’s untapped potential. I love seeing the expressions on people’s faces when they accomplish something they never thought possible.
One of the biggest challenges of our time is that we don’t move our bodies enough. We trap them in a prison without bars—repetitive positions, tight clothes, and narrow shoes.
